Somi is finally a women’s undershort that works. I have full thighs and the boy shorts are usually never long enough and roll up on me. Somis stay all day. I have put these through long days at work, camping, river baths, lake swims, SUP and mountain biking. I don’t wear those padded bike shorts so Somis have been it. HOWEVER, this is why I’m knocking off a star, they DO NOT dry fast when you get sweaty. For biking, I’m now only wearing them for my 1-2 hour hot laps and then immediately take them off. They are great multitaskers for travel when you want to pack light and wash up easily in a sink. I have a pear shape, wear pant size 8, 145lbs and the Medium Long Thongkillers are a good fit. I would request that Somi will make some Xtra longs and adds another inch.

I first purchased this product about two years ago, and absolutely loved it - the fabric, fit, everything. So a weeks ago I reordered a few new pairs, and unfortunately…something’s off, and I’m not sure why. My new pairs still seem to be fairly well made, but the fabric feels much less stretchy/smooth and the sizing feels much less roomy. I get that the pair I have has likely stretched out a bit with wear, but my new ones seem almost a size smaller and just much less comfy. I felt comfortable wearing the old pair as shorts, but these I’d only want to wear as underwear.

These are great if you have a flat stomach and a thigh gap… After reading reviews I was hopeful that these would make a good pair of shorts to wear under dresses. I’m curvy and don’t have a thigh gap or a flat stomach. Not only do they ride up and the waist band roll down, they make noise like windbreaker pants when I walk. As embarrassing as this is to admit, I want others like me to know that this does not seem like it was designed with curvy women in mind. I’ll only be using these to sleep in as even doing housework is frustrating and requires adjustments every 5 seconds.

Material is great, the fit is pretty good, but it's way too expensive for one pair. And I still have to purchase one size up to see if it fits better than the pair that I purchased already, so if that one doesn't fit better I'm out nearly $40 for one pair.

Amen really like the way the feel so soft . I got the large and they fit great but I’m short with thick thighs and I felt like at the end of the “leg” it was a little tight and in my jeans you could see where it kinda bulged but if I were to get a bigger size they would be too big on the waist ! I have not tried the shorter ones yet

I tried the long version for my first pair and really like them! They are somewhat visible at my thigh line when I sit depending on what pants I'm wearing, but it's not a big deal to me. I think I'll mostly wear them on my work from home days as a break from other underwear.
I wish the other colors had bands that were not black! Like I would buy a lighter color one that's close to my skin color to wear under dresses, but wouldn't want a black band to show through.

These came approx. a month late due to some unfortune problems at their factory. I still rate this 5 stars cuz of how dang comfortable they are.
The seam doesn't completely disappear for me when I wear pants or leggings, but it's really minimal that I don't mind. I might cave in in a few weeks and buy some more.

Love these so, so much. The fabric feels great and the legs done ride up. My only complaint is that I wish they came in 3XL as the seam isn't quite seamless on my thick thighs. Otherwise, love them and will likely buy more in the future.

I bought these with zero expectations. I saw the add on Instagram and thought they may be a decent option to avoid chaffing while wearing a tight dress. The waist band isn't completely flat, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker. I am very happy I got the long ones as they didn't roll up at all. The fabric is buttery soft and were so comfortable to wear as underwear. My only thought is that every color has a black waistband, so if your dress is on the lighter side, it may show through. I'd like to see some options with lighter bands. Overall, incredibly happy with my purchase; I don't think I'll ever wear a dress again without these.

I am OBSESSED I have been looking for ages for something to wear under skirts and dresses to keep my thighs from rubbing that wern't too long but still long enough to work, didn't make weird lines under my outfits, didn't roll up, and we're actually comfortable. These checked all the boxes! The fabric is so soft and silky, very light weight. The customer service was so kind too which is always a nice bonus. Everything is good about the Thongkiller.
Silky material, so my clothing glides right over it. Lightweight and cool. Best of all, it stays put on my belly, even during yoga. So many other undies roll down and I’m constantly adjusting. These don’t move. I love it.
I ordered an XL, per my measurements and it fits fine. If I had ordered a large, it would’ve been good too. But I’m glad I got the XL because I think maybe it gives me a higher waist effect, which works for me.
I’m not going swimming, but I would love to swim in these. It would eliminate the icky thigh-rub sensation when you’re out of the water.
I plan on ordering more, in both short and long.

My only critique is that there needs to be a light/nude color option that does NOT have a black waistband. I want something that won't show through sheer clothing, which the black waistband does.

5’ 4” 190lbs and I bought a size XL: when I originally purchased, Somi accidentally sent me the short thongkillers instead of the long. I’ll tell you the short ones slid right up my thighs and chaffing would be inevitable, but they are more flattering than the long ones. I wore the long thongkillers for the first time at the beach and they did not ride up at all which was super comfortable. However, it felt more like I was wearing boxers than a swim suit. The little v seam in the front gives that boxer look and if you use them as a swim suit that might be a concern. I didn’t care but I felt more frumpy than confident in them. So I guess you sacrifice cute for comfortable, but for a long day at the beach and no chaffing I’d say I’m pretty satisfied. For somi: These shorts might be more flattering with a higher waste line and a thick band around the waist, just an idea.

I personally get annoyed when people take a pick and say how much they like or dislike an undergarment but don’t give their STATS! Not helpful to me. So here ya’ll go. Women helping women! 5’7, 162, and wear a US size 10 or sometimes 12 depending on store. I’m an hourglass figure with an amble booty.
This is a size medium long thongkiller in mushroom. So far I love it! Very silky feel and no tag. Just bought one since you can’t return them if the wrong size and I wasn’t sure if I was a large or medium but for me medium for the win.
I can see how they will leave a line on my thigh if wearing thin or tight pants but for skirts or thicker (think Carhart or work jeans), looser fitting pants this will eliminate the chub rub! I HATE that! Especially in summer. Then you get that painful rash from sweating too. THE WORST.
Anyway I hope you found this helpful. I’d give you my measurements but I can’t find my tape and It’s time for school drop off. Let’s just say if I have to size up it’s always because of the juicy booty.

I bought these because I prefer boy shorts for underwear and swim shorts for swimming. The fit is reallg smooth and comfortable. Bcuz I still feel like skin tight bottoms are a bit to exposing for me, I wear loose swim shorts over top. I bought a pair that needs a swim bottom for and these were perfect along with the somi swim tops.

Haven’t worn it with any pants or pieces on top to see the lines, but by itself it’s incredibly comfortable! I just love the silk feeling. It’s soft and shiny. I’ve worked out with it a few times, and I just love how it feels, doesn’t look to be see through at all, so it can probably even be used as a biker short and paired with other clothing pieces. Only thing I can recommend is to check the sizing chart and if you’re in between 2 sizes (specially right at the cusp of one) pick the smallest. So far I’m obsessed with all SOMI products
